Pothole around drain on A37 northbound outside Valley House on opposite side of road to entrance to Eastcourt Road
Reported via desktop in the Manhole & drain cover damage category by Dr Robert J. Wilkinson at 14:31, Mon 23 November 2020
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2401581.
Your respose to my previous reporting of this yesterday was that you had attended to the problem. Let me stress that I am reporting damage subsequent to your last repair which lasted only a matter of weeks. I repeat: The surround of of this drain has been repaired twice this year. Unfortunately it receives a constant beating from heavy lorries and the repairs have quickly failed. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that the gully is blocked and so floods in wet weather. The surface water contributes to the breakup of the tarmac once craks appear. The drain needs to be reset in a surround resistant to its inevitable daily wear. And the gully emptied.
