Are you aware that a mains electricity cable has been attached to the underside of the bridge in the centre of Woollard, in order to provide a private supply of electricity to a site on the East side of the bridge. I would assume that this would require some kind of authorisation. Has this been granted or applied for?

These are two separate issues; one relates to water seepage from the pavement (unresolved); the other is the subject of an ongoing planning application and consultation with the Highways Agency (underway).

The council dug a hole three weeks ago, exposed service ducting and have left the hole surrounded by temporary barriers: how this can be described as ‘complete’ is somewhat questionable - even if the fault is the responsibility of the service provider, rather than the council.

Still a large hole in the pavement!

The council excavated about 4 months ago and have left the hole exposed (presumably waiting for the utility which is responsible for the failed ducting to repair it). In the meantime, there remains a gaping hole in the pavement!…. Would you please expedite a repair?

Still neither evidence of progress, or any response from the council as to whether or when they intend to sort this out. Seven months and counting!

At least the hole has now been filled in…. It remains to be seen whether the works have solved the problem!
