Horses on village green

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 13:43, Thursday 7 January 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2466009.

We have been contacted by a local resident complaining that horses are crossing a village green in Paulton, causing the grass to be damaged. He says that horses are not allowed on village green spaces and has requested we put signs up stopping them from using the green.

Can you please advise if this is correct. It is the green at the junction of Paulton Hill, Brittens Hilll and Ham Lane.

Updates

  • It is at the junction of Ham Lane, Brittens Hill and Paulto Hill, as you state in the description, but not as shown on the map attached to this email. It happens all year round but damages the green more when the ground is wet in the winter.
