Rather too late for notices (?planning permission) as one of them has been felled along with another nearby - Location - across the road from the rear of the Botanical Gardens wedding venue.

Unfortunately the Maple had internal decay and was rapidly declining and the lean on the Pine was increasing every year, they had both been cared for and pruned to extend their life at this location for many years however they had declined to such an extent there was an unacceptably high risk that both trees would fail. The Pine is too large and heavy to be staked, and the Maple had been pruned in the past and was in to unstable a condition to have any more pruning.
Two Umbrella Pines were planted a couple of years ago in the Great Dell anticipation of having to lose these trees as their declining condition has been known for some time.
State changed to: No further action
