Rain breaching the pavement and flowing onto my property.

Reported via desktop in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 21:57, Wednesday 20 January 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2491699.

We have recently moved into 36 Wellsway BS31 1HT. During periods of heavy rain, water breaches the public pavement and flows onto our drive. Once on the drive the rainwater flows onto a retaining wall (please see attached photos) these photographs were taken when the rain had stopped. 30 minutes before I had to use sand bags to try and contain the rainwater because the flow was so heavy .My immediate concern is that if this continues the water will comprises the internal structure of the retaining wall and cause it to fail. The wall is directly in front on the steel mills public footpath. To ensure we preserve the structure of the retaining wall please could you arrange a contractor to repair the pavement to prevent the above issue.

  • Heavy rain has caused water to breach the pavement again and is making the retaining wall saturated with water. Are there any update on this?
