Unsafe no pathway
Reported via mobile in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 17:36, Tuesday 2 February 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2519957.
There is a need for a pathway from the top of Parkhouse Lane towards the new builds, Bloor Homes. This walkway is very popular with pedestrians, cyclists, runners wishing to travel towards or away from Parkhouse Lane. With the increase in people and the fact the new builds are so close to Parkhouse Lane this route is very much used but is unsafe and dangerous. The traffic needs to be slowed down and a path would greatly help the problem.
Thank you for your report, it will be reviewed by the appropriate team.

Used by multiple people, to join onto the footpath. Road is very fast and bank slopes into road which is difficult with slippery mud. Can clearly see quantity of foot traffic with damage on verge.

There is no footpath at all and the cars are just speeding ignoring completely the speed limit, the cyclists and the pedestrians. It's likely that a serious accident will happen soon.

It’s National Speed Limit here and on a corner, not “all cars are completely ignoring the speed limit”. However once the Bloor site is finished there will be foot links to Parkhouse Lane.

Completely agree with the need for something to be done about the speeding on this stretch of road. Regularly drive this route and witnessed the amount of cars speeding past pedestrians in the road, some even doing nearly double the speed limit in the 30mph. Maybe extending the 30mph or enforcing the road with mobile speed cameras or even just speed cameras signs might help?
