Damaged and sunken curb stones
Reported via desktop in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 06:53, Tue 23 February 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2565529.
The curb stones at this corner are in a poor condition. This is in part due to large vehicles (including waste collection vehicles) mounting them as they exit from the driveway opposite which leads to a block of flats (78 Southlands).
The increasingly low level has encouraged people in cars to park on the grassed area beyond as it is easier to access. In effect, a drop kerb has been created. Every time they do this, the damage gets worse and driving on the grass causes muddy damage as my picture shows. Vehicles parked on the grass can also make it even more difficult for large vehicles to gain access- a vicious circle!
Would it be possible to schedule this corner for repair so it is of a height which discourages driving on our shared communal space? Around 15 curve stones in all would benefit from reseating. I have raised the matter through my councillors and they advised me this report us the best way to progress the matter.
Many thanks.

Great- many thanks. If the repairs team were able to increase the height of the curb at the same time as reseating it that would be ideal. It is far higher elsewhere and this is a good deterrent to people trying to drive onto the grass. Driving on our green damages a shared community space.
