Larkhall Place - dangerous state of road surface
Reported via mobile in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 18:09, Saturday 27 February 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2576050.
The road surface along Larkhall Place is in a terrible state, particularly from no. 20 and up - aggregate exposed, extremely bumpy - a cause of car damage and potential tripping hazard for pedestrians and includes a school entrance (albeit currently not used as one).
This area is used regularly, being suitably wide for all cars as a turning zone, worsening the issue.
I am also concerned for the wellbeing and safety of vulnerable residents. In addition to being a tripping/car hazard there are key services such as taxis and delivery vehicles who have in the past refused to reach this stretch of the road.
In addition to the separate reports here of potholes and surface issues all along the road, could the council please consider making good the road holistically rather than patching odd areas (preferably to the end to include school entrance, and the section adjoining Eden Villas)? This would be of much greater benefit to all residents who rely on the full stretch of road being usable.
Thank you for this report. We will review the details and carry out an inspection of the site if required.
