Tree roots causing pavement to lift - Tripping hazard
Reported via desktop in the Pavement damage category by Bath and North East Somerset Council at 09:47, Wed 17 March 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2614319.
Resident reports that their 85 year old mother keeps tripping on the uneven path due to the roots from the tree. The Tree Team have been out and inspected the trees and state "The Tree Inspector is not qualified to assess if the surface of the footway is in an acceptable condition or not so I have copied in Highways who would be able to advise and have attached a photo of the footway surface which may be helpful to them. If Highways determine that works are required to the footway surface and tree roots are present the Highways Inspector will contact me to discuss and/or arrange a site visit to determine the method."
