Heavy vehicle damage to a raised turning circle at the end of Stirtingale Avenue BA2 2NQ

Reported via desktop in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 18:06, Sunday 28 March 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2639073.

As a result of the 3 types of waste collection vehicles reversing along our cul-de-sac and parking their back wheels up on the raised turning circle, the tarmac and under surface has lifter either side of the tyre tracks. The turning circle surrounds a telegraph pole, and to the residents understanding is that this area should not be driven over or parked upon. The residents are at a loss as to why the Local Authority services waste wagons need to reverse so far back that this damage occurs? This has happened in the past and the surface has been re-surfaced, but clearly the sub surface is not strong enough to support the large vehicles weight.
