Road Safety Bollards and Drainage Gulley
Reported via desktop in the Railings, bollard, & post damage category by Bath and North East Somerset Council at 09:45, Wednesday 31 March 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2644557.
If possible it would be really great to have 2no. Plastic safety bollards replaced at the bottom of Knowle Hill, Bishop Sutton, outside the entrance gate to 2 Hollowbrook Cottages. These bollards have been left broken for well over a year now and the verge they sit on is becoming eroded due to heavy vehicles driving over them. Also, the drainage gulley along this part of the road has grown over and become unfit for purpose. The council very kindly visited several years ago to dig out the existing drainage culvert but it now requires further attention. Despite my best efforts to keep the grass and nettles down, the combination of silt build-up and the lack of safety bollards has allowed traffic to destroy the verge and render the culvert useless. Your attention to these issues would be greatly appreciated
