Road needs sweeping in cycle lane

Reported via desktop in the Excessive or dangerous littering category anonymously at 15:31, Monday 5 April 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 23 hours, 41 minutes later. Council ref: 2653837.

I have raised this problem last month and the case was closed saying it is not the council's responsibility. I thought that the council was responsible for road sweeping? Who is responsible then?

  • This is private land and therefore the land owner is responsible for cutting back any vegetation. The landowner has been contacted by letter and they have 28 days to address the vegetation. After this we will chase again if no action has been taken. In the meantime, our cleansing team will visit and clear any debris in the cycle lane.
