Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2656972.
The silver birch (on verge on border between nos 22 and 23 The Tyning) looks to have some dead/dying branches and needs attention. It is the first mature tree on the right hand side of The Tyning as you come from Widcombe Hill. It’s been happening slowly over last few years. We hope it can be saved. I think it might be honey fungus as it had fungus like this around base of tree in the autumn.

The tree is now dead. Risk of falling branches.

As well as the risk of branches falling it would be a real shame if the honey fungus spread to other trees in the road. I am attaching a couple of photos for info. I would be grateful if you could let me know when someone might come to dig up the tree?

Thank you for your enquiry. This site was visited for routine inspection in October last year. The dead tree has been identified for removal and is on our schedule of programmed works, together with some minor pruning work on other trees.
