I have been in contact with Wessex Water who attended this morning to further investigate.

The advice from Wessex Water is that the drain in question is not one that they are responsible for and appears to be a Council owned drain probably taking stormwater from Manor Road / Lyndhurst Road at a higher level to the rear of my property.

Wessex’s investigation with a drainage camera revealed a likely obstruction about 11m up from the manhole in the pavement outside the adjacent sub-station.

It is by no means an emergency, but I would be very grateful if you could please check your drainage records, liaise with Wessex Water if appropriate and investigate the problem further.
