Spraying of pavements with weed killer
Reported via desktop in the Excessive or dangerous littering category anonymously at 09:53, Tue 18 May 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 3 hours, 14 minutes later. Council ref: 2733039.
Please tell me if the pavements in Southcot Place have been sprayed with weed killer. The daisies, campanulas and other small plants growing in the junction of the pavement and my railings are now dying, as are others in the road. I stopped a council operative spraying outside my house 2 years ago. I HUGELY object to this being done without permission of the residents. Please respond and tell me why this is necessary, especially in a square that has no through traffic.

On the left you see the little plants outside my front door like the ones that are now dead. On the right a plant killed by your weed killer. There were many more that I have cleared away. I have spoken to several residents in Southcot Place who cannot understand why the council wastes limited resources and uses weed killer that we all know is extremely damaging to the environment.
