Overgrown vegetation on public footpath

Reported via mobile in the Vegetation overhanging a road or pavement from private land or property category anonymously at 09:54, Tue 25 May 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2747564.

The footpath which links the Wells road to the Sturminster cycle path is being overgrown by weeds/plants. There is fallen soil from properties and weak fences leaning onto the footpath which one day risks falling onto pedestrians. This footpath is very popular with school children and is narrowing due to weeds and fallen soil. There is no lighting along the footpath so feels unsafe to use during winter months. There is a fallen tree at the top end which has just been shoved into bushes and not collected.
