We have an enormous amount of seed and vegetation debris in all the gutters around the Square, spreading into the road.

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 16 minutes later. Council ref: 2763782.
The seed and vegetation, (twigs, leaves etc) has been building up in the gutters and road over the last year plus. It is not only extremely unsightly, but also the seed are blowing into car windscreen wiper channels and choking them. Also obscuring white parking lines on occasions. We had an organised square Litter Pick and tidy up last Sunday, and some of us did try to sweep and bag some of this debris, but to be honest it was too big a task for individuals. Could we please ask for a road sweeping team to visit the Square and off shoot roads to remove some of this build up. Many thanks.

Hello, In early June I made a request to have the gutters and garden side pavement swept by your excellent team of road sweepers with their specialised equipment. Sadly three months later and we have not seen any action. As residents of St James’s Square we carry out regular tidy ups and litter picks to try and keep the area clean and tidy. Indeed my husband and I try to do this often ourselves. This week we came across a lot of glass in the gutter which we did try to clear as best we could. On September 11th we have an annual Square Garden Party, when we will be hosting lots of visitors to the square. Obviously it would be lovely to have the surrounding area looking as clean and tidy as possible. Please could we have a professional sweep before then? We also have quite a few Bath Guided Walking Tours visiting the square as it is the only complete Georgian Square in Bath, with a number of interesting historical features. We would really like to show off our area to its very best advantage. Thank you in anticipation.

Please could the Square Garden Party, with the many visitors you mention, be more inclusive in future years? Why have in some years residents of St James's St been invited but those in St James's Park told (incorrectly) that the party was for residents of the Square only? It looks so snobbish. You might also find that some of us are willing to help you in your street cleaning, as we appreciate the Square too.

Just to add that in some past years the Square Garden Party was open to the wider community of those who live around the Square and walk through it, and nothing terrible happened!
