Grass is too long

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category by Vicky Sheppard at 08:02, Wednesday 16 June 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2795146.

The grass in our green spaces especially in Springfield Park is too long. My family and puppy use this space every day and due to the length of the grass it’s impossible for kids and dogs to play. There is a group of 5/6 year olds that have always setup a little football match where the goal nets used to be - the grass here is too long that they can’t play. We went over yesterday and all 4 of us came back with a tick and our poor puppy had 4! I work for an ecological/Nature Restoration company, so I know the benefits of leaving the grass long but green spaces have health benefits for us too. There are a lot of families who live in the flats in Fox Hill and rely on this park as their garden. This space is shared so it should be cut so it works for us all. How it’s been left now is unacceptable. Please don’t leave it like this over the summer at least.
