Dangerous broken wall by bridge

Reported via desktop in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 08:14, Wed 14 July 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2863244.

By the south end of the railway bridge over the linear path on the west side of Bridge Road(by the old toilets) is a wall which prevents people from going down onto the linear path. In the last few weeks it has broken, and come away from the bridge wall. The wall itself is now wobbly and if it comes down it could fall into the road, or down the bank and harm people. Living nearby we have also noticed recently that the ground shakes up to 50 metres away when buses or lorries go over - not something we recall from previously.

  • Hello I sent in the report above in July and the bridge wall has been cordoned off - I assume in advance of repairs. However we have noticed recently that the ground is now shaking on our property (next to the linear path) when buses and trucks go over the bridge. We can feel the vibrations in our house and we have have had cracks emerge on some walls and ceilings during this time. It seems as if the bridge is vibrating.
