Lack of toad markings and signs leading in potential serious danger
Reported via desktop in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 15:22, Mon 19 July 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2875283.
Good afternoon. I realised, as I was recently approaching the end of the unclassified lane from North Widcombe to join the main A368 between W Harptree and Bishop Sutton, opposite the drive to New Manor Farm, just how dangerous the junction is. The sight line - please see photo - is such that to someone who doesn’t know the road, there is actually no junction at all. There are no road markings, no ‘Give Way’ / ‘Stop’ sign, and furthermore the prominent 50 mph signs imply that the driver isn’t moving onto a different road. I fear that this an accident waiting to happen.
