Podium Carpark Queues
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 12:04, Thursday 29 July 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2899325.
Yesterday morning I was almost hit off my bike coming around the corner from Broad Street onto Walcot Street by the Pig & Fiddle. This was due to the outrageous carpark queue causing drivers to overtake in the wrong lane on walcot street. It was almost a head-on collision and really shook me up. This carpark queue has been a problem ever since the shops reopened after lockdown, it goes up beyond The Bell Inn almost everyday (especially Fri-Sun), which is not only poor for pollution but also is very dangerous for cyclists like myself who are having to move out of the way of oncoming vehicles in the wrong lane. It is dangerous and something needs to change, it is ruining our beautiful Walcot Street.
