Dangerous wall

Reported via desktop in the Vegetation overhanging a road or pavement from private land or property category anonymously at 12:58, Tue 24 August 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2955598.

The wall along the path leading to Mountain Ash from the Cotswold Way is starting to crumble and lean dangerously. The telegraph pole is now being pushed by the wall, whereas previously there was a gap between the wall and pole. Holes are appearing towards the bottom of the wall where masonry is falling away. There is no space to avoid the wall if it were to suddenly fall.

  • Wall has been inspected from Primrose Hill to Summerhill Road and does not appear to be imminently dangerous. The distribution pole is not in contact with the wall and it may be that this is leaning which exaggerates any lean on the wall. No further action is required at this time.
