Blocked highway drainage for large part of London Road/Grosvenor Place/Lambridge

Reported via desktop in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 13:44, Friday 17 September 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3007981.

Every highway drainage hole has weed growing out of it. It will only take a large downpour to cause considerable flooding. Soon leaves will be falling and that will only add. A large portion of the area is subjecty to weed growth which looks unsightly and it is particularly drainage that should be put as a high priority. Easy to view.

  • Thank you for your report. The Highway Inspector has checked the drains and they appear to be working properly. As it is mainly the amount of weeds in the area that prevent surface water effectively being drained away, this enquiry has been passed to our Cleansing Team for assistance with de-weeding, notably along the London Road bus lane, to help resolve this issue.
