Flooding on road due to blocked drain
Reported via mobile in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 21:03, Tuesday 5 October 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3044474.
This is a consistent problem with this drain every time we have heavy rain. I have reported it numerous times before. The drain is blocked inside and water is running down the road, past the new drain that’s out of line and pooling at the bottom on a dangerous bend. This is a busy walking route to the primary school and it is unsafe to walk children up the road due to this flooding. BANES need to widen the drainage. It is unsafe to walk up the road.

This problem continues! The road surface and virtual pavement are now orange due to deposits from the swiftly flowing water. It seems to me to be a water pipe leak and not rain water as it has been dry weather for weeks now. It is dangerous as children and parents with prams have to come out into the road on a narrow bend to avoid paddling!
