Winter approaches and the stream is still leaking
Reported via mobile in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 14:38, Sun 10 October 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3053031.
Your history shows 2019 but we reported this earlier than that. Water from the Lyn Brook outside No1 Prior Park Buildings is not entering the culvert as intended but flooding to the left (the Buildngs side) and getting behind the walls. The whole bank is now saturated at that cobbles end, the wall has split vertically and at cobbles level down the slope. When the water level builds back up again with rainfall the seepage becomes worse and starts spreading over the pavement at road level. Ice and falls are likely.

Nothing appears to have happened except we residents have taken the grille off to let leaves through and lower water

Sandbags have been placed to deal with part of the problem but are already saturated and nothing appears to have been done to address the cause.

Others seem to have been reporting this and it’s getting confused with other works in vicinity but apart from laying sandbags for the symptoms nothing is happening about the problem. The sandbags work for hours and this has been going on for years now!

Nothing further appears to have happened, a few sandbags for the symptoms but that’s it.
