Pavement only one shoe width wide
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 14:29, Tue 12 October 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 week, 6 days, 21 hours, 44 minutes later. Council ref: 3057943.
I first reported this on 2 July and again in August. The pavement opposite the Lansdown Park and Ride going North out of the city is so over grown that it is now only a shoe width wide. I regularly walk this path on my way home from volunteering at the racecourse vaccination centre. I was told that it would be included on a regular grass cutting schedule, there is no evidence that this has happened. Several years ago a pedestrian was killed walking along this stretch of road. I would hate for there to be another similar accident caused by someone having to walk in the road because the pavement was no longer useable. I believe the path was originally standard width, ie two people could pass going in opposite directions, this is now impossible. Please do something about it as a matter of urgency, I am fed up of having to navigate the brambles, thistles, nettles, overgrown clumpy grass and now increasing mud as this year's leaves start to rot.

Why is this a "Park's" issue? If you want people to get out of their cars, make it safe to do so. This has been like this for years. Clear the path to its original width.
