Banes road sweeper.
Reported via mobile in the Excessive or dangerous littering category anonymously at 09:13, Wed 13 October 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3059288.
As there is no option for complaints against council workers I’m afraid it’s being put on here! For the fourth time in as many months our local road sweeper is outside residential properties before 6.30 in the morning! He has been warned by yourselves many times that he cannot do this as it is waking children, the elderly and disabled people up at a stupid hour with his orange lights and reversing alarm. This morning he chose to sweep 20 metres only… and to add insult to injury, he mounted the pavement completely and proceeded to drive at full belt between a very expensive BMW on the side of the road and a wall!! It beggars belief that this person, after so many complaints and warnings is still doing the job. Sadly my dog was so terrified by the noise at that hour it proceeded to pee all over a brand new bed!! Therefore I will be claiming for that piece of furniture. If this was the first time I had reported his behaviour then maybe I would think differently, but enough is enough. I am not the only person to report this. We had your word that he would not be doing this again and yet here we are. This is happening in Waterloo Road in Radstock. Oh and by the way, he hasn’t swept the rest of the road at all which suggests this is being done to be vindictive because of previous complaints.
