Misuse of an advisory disabled persons parking bay.
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 10:58, Tue 19 October 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3071285.
At the rear of Newton Road the bay is being misused. The car as you can see is not parking completely inside of the lines painted on the road and is causing other cars great difficulties in trying to pull out without causing any damage to themselves or this vehicle. The silver car belongs to me and I correctly parked yesterday evening whilst the bay was empty. the car that uses this bay has parked wrongly later. This is a regular occurrence and needs to be addressed please.

Thank you for your report. The are no enforceable parking restrictions in this area. The disabled bay is advisory and therefore is not enforceable. Our traffic wardens can issue parking tickets for parking on double yellow lines or other parking restrictions, but we can’t respond to issues of parking when there are no restrictions in place, If parking is causing an obstruction or there is a danger, please phone the Police on 101. The Police have the powers to enforce parking, as well as move a vehicle if it is causing an obstruction.
State changed to: No further action
