Overhanging trees/hedges

Reported via desktop in the Vegetation overhanging a road or pavement from private land or property category by Wellow Parish Council at 16:19, Sunday 24 October 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3081489.

We report on behalf of Wellow Community Bus:

The hedges have been cut on Bath Hill from Wellow towards Odd Down but insufficient for the Wellow Community Bus bus to avoid hedge contact on most runs on the nearside.

More worrying from the driver’s point of view are the excessively overhanging trees and hedges in Combe Hay Lane about 100 meters past Fosse Farm and on the same side just past the (almost hidden) triangle warning sign indicating uneven road where, on a daily basis, the driver is forced into the trees and hedges by oncoming traffic to avoid contact.

Some of the worst overhanging trees need a good 5 or 6 feet cut back to the height of the bus.
