City Fibre Works
Reported via iOS in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 14:40, Wed 27 October 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3087937.
Why is Weston Road subjected to traffic control when no work is being carried out. There has been no activity since Thursday last week but the traffic lights and lane closure is still in force. This is a busy road and this inconvenience to drivers is not acceptable. If people were actively working it would be understandable.

The problem with pavement and road obstruction caused by City Fibre is worse today. Despite the Council’s “close partnership” with this company the project has caused chaos for weeks. During the past 7 days no work has bee done at the junction of Cranwells Park and Weston Road. You as a council have neglected to suspend parking at the bottom of Cranwells Park whilst 3-way traffic control is in operation. Consequently, access and egress is both problematic and dangerous to pedestrians and road users. This failure to look after residents interests is in stark contrast to the way in which you serve the needs of film-makers, developers and other event organisers when they clutter our streets. Will you please sort the problem caused by you and your “partners” City Fibre in Cranwells Park.
