Insufficient signage for bridge closure
Reported via desktop in the Road sign damage category anonymously at 16:41, Fri 29 October 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3092184.
My parents live in St John's Road and it is clear that cars are driving down St John's Road trying to access Cleveland Bridge. Naturally they get to the end of the street near Bridgemead Care Home and realise they cannot access the bridge, so have to turn around and drive back up St John's Road. The traffic flow of cars making this mistake is constant. There is only one sign near Laura Place saying the threre is no access to the A36, and it is easy to miss that sign. I would suggest adding a number of other signs, including some futher up Great Pulteney Street to explain that there is no access to the bridge. I have seen the increase of traffic and frustrated drivers first hand. I think this is a accident waiting to happend an drivers speed back along St John's Road trying to make up time for their mistake. Please add more signs.

Frequent traffic is continuing to access Cleveland Bridge from Saint John’s Road. Motorists have moved the signage approaching the bridge in order to get by. Signage in the other direction is also unclear - vehicles crossing the bridge then turning right through cones into Saint John’s Road. Is this permitted or not? Needs to be made clear.
