Many street lights now working
Reported via mobile in the Street light fault category anonymously at 21:38, Sun 5 December 2021
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3161515.
None of the street lights are working in the pedestrian walk from Church Lane in Batheaston to the Elmhurst Estate. This is a main walkway of family's walking to and from Batheaston Church School. When collecting children from after school activities it is pitch dark. To the point that you cannot see the hand rail in the middle of the path on the hill without torch light. This is at head height of my young daughters, one of whom bumped into it. As a female I often feel on edge walking through this area to collect my children as you cannot see other walkers until they are right next to you. I am also concerned about the additional risks when the paths become icey and not being able to see this clearly.

We've looked into this report and found that the street light affected is owned by another organisation, in this case the Parish Council.
There are several old style lights which the parish council own on this footpath and we are aware that the Parish council have already arranged for work to these lights. The lights are old and difficult to repair and so are due to be upgraded later this month. We trust once the work has been completed they light will work as normal. We've closed this report. State changed to: not the council's responsibility
