Location, passing place on uphill of Colliers Lane, on leftside by farm gate; approximately 6 cms deep.

Reported via desktop in the Potholes & road surface category by Adrian Dingle at 15:56, Mon 13 December 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3177525.

We were driving to a Covid Booster jab at Landsdowne Race Course on Thursday 9th December at just after 2.00 pm. We were forced to pull into a layby (where there was a pothole) to allow a car coming downhill to pass us; there was a loud noise and I subsequently discover the inside of my nearside front tyre was damaged. The wheel was changed for a get-you-home spare. I took the tyre to Melksham tyres that evening and then collected it the next day. They confirmed the damage to the side wall of the tyre had been damaged beyond repair caused by the pothole. I had to pay the bill of £100.00.
