Road parking blocking driveways and road

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 10:27, Sat 18 December 2021

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3187301.

There are constantly cars parked on pavements, grass and the road which both blocks driveways for residents and the road which is also a bus route. There are always a number of vehicles belonging to non-residents who use the area to park in order to go to the local shops, to go on walking routes, to get the bus into town and leave their car there all day. There are also some vehicles which appear to have people sleeping in them which can stay there for days. As there are no road markings, the vehicles park on both sides of the road which obstructs residents and the local buses which often get blocked. This also means that residents find it both difficult to manoeuvre into their driveways and also to park outside their house if needed.

Many vehicles also park on the grassed area on the pavements which block pedestrians who may then have to walk on the road. There is damage to the grass on the pavement creating a huge hole in the pavement. This then spreads mud creating a huge mess spreading mud across driveways of residents.
