Very large hornbeam tree overhanging private gardens and pedestrian path to Calton Gardens and Calton Walk (this was the subject of a planning approval Reference: 17/01692 submitted 07/04/2017)

Reported via desktop in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 15:44, Mon 10 January 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3229980.

This hornbeam tree (part of the original landscaping to Calton Gardens/Walk) has overgrown its location and has become very large, creating risk of branches breaking off into adjacent gardens and path and risk of damage to drainage from roots. There are 3 small fruit trees in the same triangular grass area (owned by BANES) that are much more in keeping with their location. I would suggest that removing the large tree and replacing with something more appropriate in size should be considered.
