After further investigation with Western Power we are sorry to advise there is a serious cable fault which is affecting this lighting. The electrical supply to this lighting was by an overhead cable which was damaged and so removed for public safety.
The works to re-connect the supply require the excavation of trenching and the installation of underground cable. This works has been ordered from Volker Highways, the term maintenance contractor for street lighting, and we are waiting for confirmation of their start date.
Although the lights will be out for a while longer, we hope you can appreciate this is not a straight forward repair, and our intention is to install a more reliable source of supply for the future with easier maintenance.
When we have a time frame for this work we shall confirm this here.
