Langfords Lane is flooded you cannot walk along unless you are wearing wellington boots.

Reported via desktop in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 12:24, Thu 17 February 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3318847.

Thank you for clearing the flooding back in January but after the rain we have had this last few days the problem has arisen again. Dip in Langfords Lane between Rosedean & Rose Cottage badly flooded as water is not running through the manholes as they are blocked again and can not deal with the excess water.

  • Even after you cleared drains in Jan, following the recent storms we have the same problem. Drains are blocked with silt, you really need to instigate a more long term solution.

  • Langford's Lane is still flooded with a great deal of mud and silt beneath the surface. This makes it dangerous for motor vehicles but extremely dangerous for cyclists. As for pedestrians they cannot get through unless they are wearing wellington boots. We recently had to let a father and young child go through our garden and into the field to bypass the flood.

We pay a high rate of council tax and yet seem to get a third rate service on this lane. Whenever the team come to clear the flood they merely unblock the drain. What they don't do is properly clean the road surface which has several inches of compacted mud down the centre. Whenever it rains, this mud and more silt from the surrounding fields blocks the drains again and we are back to square one. Please sort this out properly!
