Numerous lot holes along the length of Gaston Aveue

Reported via mobile in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 06:58, Thu 17 March 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3394594.

There are numerous linear pot holes in the center of the road all along Gaston Avenue. They appear to have been caused by a breakdown of the surface at the "join" of previous resurfacing work. The pot holes are particularly dangerous to cyclists overtaking parked cars, especially at night when in the dark it is easy to get a wheel stuck in the pothole as they can't be seen

  • Some of the pot holes have been marked, presumably by the contractor but not all and certainly not the ones along one half of the road, after the double bend. Presumably who ever made the marks didn't realise the road extends round the corner? However, as of today April 14th the pot holes have not been fixed and are unlikely to be as tomorrow is the start of the Easter bank holiday weekend.

  • The original pot holes have not been fixed/filled in and have become bigger since I originally reported them! Plus others have started to appear.
