Following the recent cycle lane work (which I fully support), someone has chosen to place a chicane on a blind bend. I’m theory, cars should be approaching slowly but this has been a 50mph road for decades. My wife edged out today and was met by a truck doing at least 30mph. It’s only a matter of time before there’s a head on accident. It either needs removing or manning with a full time traffic officer who can see around the bend and call traffic forward when it’s safe.
Thank you for your report, it will be reviewed by the appropriate team.

The chicanes at this point in Walley Lane present the danger of head-on collisions, as the sight-lines are foreshortened. I had to brake this morning 7.5.22 to avoid collision with a car which was coming towards me (it did not have priority). This road layout is dangerous and liable to cause collisions, especially with the farm traffic which uses this road.
