Cycle lane Bath to Bristol direction

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 17:22, Thursday 24 March 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3413895.

At approx 12.15 pm I saw a middle aged lady driving her Vespa type scooter along the designated cycle way! There was hardly room for the width of the vehicle between the row of bollards and pedestrians about to cross the road (not on the crossing ) had to immediately stand back in shock! There could have been a very serious accident, both to her and pedestrians if she had clipped the bollards. Is the signage clear enough for users to understand it is just for bicycles?

  • Line the same width as the curb and then there is a curb at the cycle lane edge the same width again I had a momentary optical illusion that there was no drop down and could have fallen into the road. I just wanted to flag that this is there and could be an issue.

  • The uneven levels of road, pavement and cycle path are causing people to trip, I’ve just seen 2 people trip, one fell in my quick visit today and I tripped last week. It’s extremely dangerous especially with the high population of elderly peloton Keynsham. This is a injury claim Waitrose happen,
