Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3475072.
Good Morning, This roundabout is extremely dangerous, I live in Greenfield Walk, I have done so since 2016. We have had many near misses on this roundabout leaving our estate. Cars coming from the right, drive at ridiculous speeds over this mini roundabout. They do not stop for the roundabout and just drive straight over it. On Wednesday I was hit by a car, while I was on the roundabout. The man hit my car with such force, his car turned my car around 90 degrees in the road. The Police stated this roundabout is an issue as people fly over it, and they do not slow down. my nine year old daughter was in my car at the time, thankfully she is fine. I, however, needed to go to A&E and have a x-ray on my spine, I have missed two days off work and I still have pain in my back. The driver who hit me needed also to go to hospital. There have been many accidents on this roundabout, it is a hazard. Overnight we can hear cars racing and using this roundabout as a racing line. The sign stating this is a roundabout has been removed and there are no warning signs or slow down signs. There needs to be a speed camera or a speed bump put in, or someone will lose their life on this roundabout, it is such a hazard. My Insurance company is now dealing with my accident, however, I believe the council needs to take some responsibility for the many accidents which occur on this roundabout as there are no signs and nothing to slow the cars coming from the right from going 40-45 mph over this roundabout. Many Thanks Laura Wilson
