Stowey Bottom Grass Verges
Reported via desktop in the Vegetation blocking road or sign visibility - In the countryside category anonymously at 18:45, Sun 24 April 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 1 month, 2 weeks, 2 days, 22 hours, 7 minutes later. Council ref: 3479532.
We’re opening 3 gardens in Stowey again this year for the National Garden Scheme. The date is Sunday 17th July. The car park is here is Stowey Bottom, opposite Dormers. Last year we had 400 visitors, fewer than the 600 of the previous opening, as it was too hot for many to venture out. It’s still a lot of people! Our verges in the lane from Stowey Crossroads should be cut just before the opening, to make the lane as safe as possible for pedestrians who walk from the car park and Dormers to Stowey Mead and Manor Farm in The Street, Stowey. The verges were indeed cut in the week before the opening last year and made things a lot easier, with improved visibility and improved safety. I wonder if you could request the same for this year please? If B&NES could factor this in the schedule, for the cutting to take place in the few days prior to 17th July, that would be very helpful. Many thanks, Jill (Nicol)
