Near miss at chicane on blind bend

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 18:49, Tue 3 May 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3499369.

I live near the new chicane placed on a blind bend leaving chew stoke just before the dam and have lost count of the number of vehicles which have had near miss head on collisions due to the lack of visibility around it. Today, coming from the other side of the dam, we were almost hit head on by a lorry which had pulled out around the above chicane. Not only that, but 3 cars had also followed close to the lorry. School coaches also use this route and a head on collision would be catastrophic. I am very reluctant to risk my life negotiating this dangerous road hazard. This problem needs urgent attention.
