Large manhole loose and area surrounding had subsided

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3517018.

Traffic keeps hitting it and it noticeably sinks down.

    Despite being reported to you in May, no repairs have been carried out. The highway around the manhole cover has now collapsed further, and visibly moves up and down when traffic passes over it. The loud clanking noise associated with this is very disturbing for nearby residents. I have contacted Cllr Wait about this issue who is pointing to the offending cover in the attached photo. Please can you provide an update on when the repairs will be carried out. Thank you.

  • Please can you provide an update on when this loose manhole is scheduled for repair. It is now over five months since it was first reported to you and nearly six weeks since I first requested an update. The subsidence appears to be getting worse and clanking noise getting louder and becoming intolerable for those of us who live nearby.
