Paddleboard storage van parked for months in car park

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Vehicles/Bikes category anonymously at 09:12, Thursday 19 May 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3536089.

Reported to B&NES previously but no action taken. Silver Ford van parked for months without movement in The Shallows car park (B&NES Council owned land). No MOT since Nov 21. Packed with paddleboards, see image. Used as a storage shed by local paddleboard company. Taking in-demand parking space from riverside visitors. Unwelcome precedent.

  • My flat overlooks 34 New kings st which is on the corner of Stanhope place. Yet again it has been daubed with graffiti. The house has continued to be a badly maintained eyesore for the last 7 years we’ve owned our flat in 26 Great Stanhope BA1 2BQ. Is there no requirement for owners of Grade 2 houses in Bath to keep them looking presentable?

  • For some reason a completely associated issue (above, re graffiti in Bath) has been added to the original report of this un-MOT'd van parked permanently in a B&NES car park.
