Overhanging branches and excessive tree pollen problems in park behind st Stephen’s Church
Reported via mobile in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 14:29, Fri 20 May 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3539573.
This beech tree is growing exponentially. Neil Gretton, who worked in your tree department said that the crown needed dealing with some 3 years ago. Since then, the branches closest to my property have grown a long way over my garden. My neighbours at number 7 have commented that this tree has grown ‘well beyond itself’ and needs to be looked at. Both, my neighbours and myself, are experiencing serious problems with the leafs and the leaf blossom blocking our guttering. I have to arrange for a roofer to clear my guttering several times a year, which is very expensive. Please could you arrange for this tree to be cut back so it doesn’t hang over or overshadow my garden or cause all these leaf blossom problems. Thank you. My neighbour will fully back me up.

Thank you for the report. The request has been added to the tree's record on the database so the inspector will include pruning back the canopy from the garden in the works recommendations when next inspecting the tree.
