Overgrown Vegitation along footpath

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 16:15, Tue 31 May 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3564564.

My family and I have always loved using the Norton Radstock Greenway, especially since lockdown, but sadly it has become over grown in most areas. What was most sad was the state of the open area near the Five Arches Vivaduct. During lockdown, this was a perfect place to meet socially distanced and even during that time it was regularly maintained. Sadly now it has been left to over grow, which has also allowed other dog walkers to leave their dog poo as its hidden in the grass.

Addionally, due to the over grown vegetation, (which clearly has been left as the vegetation is up to chest height in places) there is a danger for cyclists and pedestrians as the vegetation has narrowed the path. As most of it contains stinging nettles, it is not easy to avoid so this proves a problem and a risk for users both avoiding other people and stinging nettles.

This cycle path is truly one of the best parts of Radstock and I feel it needs the care and attention it deserves so people can enjoy it properly.
