Updates

  • Hi, this wasn't the issue raised! The request is for the council to confirm what maintenance/safety work has been carried out on the trees on Beechen Cliff! Last night (4am) a further significant fall occurred (the second in a year). The trees behind our house are covered in ivy, and given the proximity of the house to the trees, could be hit (if one of the trees behind the house were to come down/loose a major branch). Thank You

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. We do have an established regular inspection of the trees in this woodland. We currently have a work instruction for routine maintenance on site which is being issued to a specialist contractor. Our tree surgeons are on site today and are climbing the damaged tree to inspect for any further weakness and will be installing a nylon bracing system to prevent large branches from falling near the houses here.

    State changed to: In progress
