These lights still are not fixed. My mother in law has fallen over because she was unable to see the grass verge at night. This requires urgent action now!

We can confirm the underground cable which feeds these lights is in a bad condition and unable to be repaired. To overcome this our contractors will be installing new power supplies to the lights.
Although this takes a while longer, the works we carry out will ensure there is a more reliable source of supply in the future.
We are sorry to hear what happened with your mother in law, we shall be requesting our contractors programme this work as quickly as they can. More information will be added here about this when known.

When are these street lights going to be fixed please? It’s been long enough now and with the dark mornings and nights it’s quite frightening for the elderly and myself, it’s also very dangerous!

Ok so it's been about 5 months these street lights haven't been working and you keep saying the contractors will be here soon to fix, exactly how long is soon? It is so dark you can't see anything like grass verges or pavement edges, it's actually very dangerous and we have lots of elderly people living across the road, I'm sure it would be cheaper to get them fixed ASAP rather than being sued by someone who falls and breaks a bone sorry to sound harsh but enough is enough, my partner and I come home from work late at night and you can barely see where you're stepping, we have to use our phone lights. Please sort this, thank you

Still not fixed. I have to remember to take a torch with me to walk along Wansdyke Road. Tonight it was extremely dark, heavy rain and windy. I walked into an overhanging hedge, stepped in puddles & almost walked into a recycling box left from this morning. Quite an obstacle course. PLEASE fix asap. We would all be grateful.

When are you going to fix these lights before someone falls and either injures themselves or dies from a head injury this is ridiculous. It is pitch black at night and Mornings, there could be anyone hanging around, and it’s unnerving even when I’m home. It’s just not SAFE..

We continue to be very concerned about these street lights not being fixed - there are some very vulnerable residents along here and this delay is just not good enough -please can you provide a timeline around when this can be repaired Thanks Joel
