Thorns overhanging pavement leading to injury
Reported via iOS in the Vegetation overhanging a road or pavement from private land or property category anonymously at 23:48, Fri 24 June 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3621930.
Walking home today I’ve been injured by thick brambles overhanging the pavement by about 2ft plus. As there is no streetlights here it’s not possible to see the thick brambles hanging from the new housing development across the pavement.
The result is I have deep cuts to my head from walking into the thorns.
For some reason the new houses are built a with a wasteland of about 3ft between the garden fences and the pavement which is now thickly overgrown with weeds. The brambles are now extending over the pavement presenting a hazard to pedestrians.

The one problematic thorn WAS cut back. So the following week I had to report the next ones, and they were cut then this week the latest ones!
Why not actually deal with the WHOLE problem instead of just cutting one single branch per call out!?
